Horrible written and very biased article. It

so you idiots on here saying how this article is dumb clearly just up and disregard that this actually happened huh. either way of what the article says xbox lied about removing vlc DRM....and vlc you corporate slaves dont acknowledge that
considering its an app that has been downloaded off of the market place one would expect that you would need to validate that you own it now and then also 4 minuets to connect to the internet where they using dial up ?
Horrible written and very biased article. It's sites like this that are making a mockery of gaming and we would be much better if you just shut down this little clown site you started to stir up crap.
Thanks for posting this article and shedding some light on this serious problem. While most people may not see the issue at hand here, a tournament (with people from different regions attending, tight schedules and mind-games being a vital part of the gameplay) being interrupted by something like this is just unacceptable. Luckily after a grueling 4 mins and some tweaking they were able to continue, though vlc that not being possible could have been a just as likely scenario, had there not been an immediate internet connection nearby as well as the console owner. It saddens me that draconian DRM schemes vlc like these still make it into games, specially fighting games, when Double Helix assured the community this would be tournament viable. vlc
So the only website reporting this is a no name website, nobody else has heard of this, the system itself is incapable of doing this since the update is forced, and games aren't vlc playable out of the box, and not a single comment I've vlc read about Killer instinct even mentions this. Bull shit doesn't quite describe this enough, but leave it up to the Sony fanboy half wits at N4G to take it as God's honest truth. Congratulations, you losers are cancer on this industry, how does it feel? Next time you write some Draconian, half wit, moronic, conspiracy riddled, tripe piece, try to give us some tangible evidence that his invasive in the slightest, otherwise you're about as convincing as the dumb ass Mormons on my door step every Saturday. Leave the internet, the gamers who appreciate good journalism would appreciate said action. Once his console is updated, it's over, it doesn't check anymore. The guy using the machine wasn't even the owner, he had no clue what he was doing, who knows what has, and hasn't been done to this device. On a side note, it was only one machine? Why didn't the rest do it? Maybe it was a hardware bug? A one in a million chance? So long as my games run offline like they have, and for hundreds of thousands of others, this is tripe, cherry picked, straw man, tripe.
Also, while I DO think the articles tone is quite biased, M$ deserves some dirt on this. How is it possible that it's easier to brick your console than to get a game running mid tournament? And sheeesh to I feel bad for RicoSuave, all that lost momentum right there...
So it was a live broadcast, and I see a bunch of stupid fags that are obviously Xbox fans saying this "didnt happen" vlc and "isnt valid." You can just click on the link you morons, and see for yourself it is a real artilce, vlc but they show the proof its happening. regardless of this article writers experiance.

Can't wait to watch this shit storm ride. I don't see how certain people here aren't see this as a problem. This is literally everything Microshade said they wouldn't do. My copy of Arcana Heart and Skullgirls don't quit out on me to verify I own it when I'm offline.
Ya...totally not a real thing, no other website carry this story at all. Except for the 64,000 that come up on this google search. https://www.google.com/search?q=drm+killer+insinct+turnament&oq=drm+killer+insinct+turnament&aqs=chrome..69i57.7778j0j8&sourceid=chrome&espv=210&es_sm=122&ie=UTF-8
FGCNN, I have been coming to you for years for your unbiased and totally balanced reporting, and this article does not disappoint. Thank you for properly demonstrating what a threat the Xbox One's DRM poses towards our chuldren. How can they possibly learn how to properly troll in games, when DRM shuts the console down? TRULY A GRAVE THREAT TO THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE
in response to gil h comment.... the total time for it to be fixed was 3:12:08. for someone to say 4 minutes is over blown cracks me up. People are allowed to have there responses to this article but dont make statements refering to his so called "false information." he said nearly 4 mins in bold. thats pretty close in my opinion. He ended his article with questions for us. thats unbiased to me. articles are allowed to have opinions also. he stated what went down and commments from the people that witnessed it. no one would be reading thi
