With the rapid development of technology, all fans of the newest gadgets are increasingly replacing their devices, although some of them are still functional and working. ttf This practice ttf of substituting ttf electronic devices ttf contributes to massive amounts of e-waste generated worldwide. E-waste is a generic term used to describe various old, substituted or non-functional devices containing components powered by electricity.
Inappropriate discarded electronic devices and parts (e-waste) pose a threat to the environment and human health because they contain toxic elements that spread through the soil, groundwater ttf and surface water, and the air through smoke from landfills. This category includes ttf the household ttf appliances, such as refrigerators and toasters, to ICT equipment such as laptops and smart phones, devices widely used as TVs, mp3 players, to devices such as electric drills and sewing machines and the list goes on.
In Macedonia the status of e-waste is still not alarming, so it is the right time to create a system for proper management. Studies show that Macedonian households ttf have the biggest problem with large electrical appliances (stove, refrigerator, ttf etc.), while ICT equipment will be a problem in the near future, particularly as this category of devices and fastest changing. In the present state of the equipment in households is as follows:
This means that 52% of households have a PC, laptop 29% and 92% of households have a television cathode ray tube devices that are still in use and are potential e-waste.
The table refers to the e-waste that is removed from household. The most commonly used method for disposal of e-waste from households is donated or given / sold to second-hand goods dealer. Did you apply the same practices?
